Appointments are available Monday thru Friday 8:30 am &#8211; 4:00pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The<strong> Butts County Clerk of Superior<\/strong> partners directly with the U.S. Department of State to assist customers with processing passport applications. While the Clerk&#8217;s office acts as an application adjudicating agency, we are not the direct issuing agency of the actual passport.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Acceptance Fee $35 (cash or money order)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>All other fees must\u00a0<\/strong><strong>be paid by check or money order to the US Dept. of State.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The Clerk&#8217;s Office <em>DOES NOT<\/em> offer picture services at this time. If your passport was issued over 15 years ago, you must apply for a new passport, it would not fall under the renewal application<\/p>\n<p>**Minor Passports do not qualify for renewals, they must complete a new application every 5 years until they reach legal age[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;Passport Card&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1551213847-2-36&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>16 Years of Age or Older:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$30.00 for Passport Card<\/li>\n<li>$35.00 Acceptance Fee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Under 16 Years of Age:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$15.00 for Passport Card<\/li>\n<li>$35.00 Acceptance Fee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>**Passport Card must be paid by check or money order to U.S Department of State<\/em><br \/>\n<em>**Acceptance Fee must be paid by cash or money order<\/em>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;Passport Book &amp; Passport Card&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>16 Years of Age or Older:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$160.00 for Passport Book &amp; Card<\/li>\n<li>$35.00 Acceptance Fee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Under 16 Years of Age:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$155.00 for Passport Book &amp; \u00a0Card<\/li>\n<li>$35.00 Acceptance Fee<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>**Passport Book and Card must be paid by check or money order to U.S Department of State<br \/>\n<\/em><em>**Acceptance Fee must be paid by cash or money order<\/em>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=&#8221;Public Instructions&#8221;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]All Passport Applications must be completed by the customer and executed in person before the Clerk or Deputy Clerk of Superior Court.<\/p>\n<p><strong>First Time Applicants for Passport Book or Passport Card (Form DS-11):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The applicant must provide proof of US Citizenship such as a certified birth certificate, proof of identity such as a valid permanent driver\u2019s license, and one\u00a0recent color 2\u00d72-inch passport photos.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If the applicant is 18 or older he\/she must sign the application and use his or her own ID.<\/li>\n<li>If the applicant is between 16 and 17 years of age, the applicant must sign the application and be accompanied by\u00a0at least one parent.<\/li>\n<li>If the applicant lacks his or her own ID the parent\u2019s ID must be used.<\/li>\n<li>If the applicant is under 16 years of age, the applicant must submit proof of relationship to the parents (typically by submitting a birth certificate that lists both parents or an adoption decree) and be accompanied by BOTH\u00a0parents. Both parents\u2019 signature are required on the application, or one signature and a completed DS-3053 (a custody order or a death certificate may be required).<\/li>\n<li>Regardless of age, all applicants must be present when applying for a passport.\u00a0 A child must be seen by passport agent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Online Passport Renewal (OPR):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants who meet the requirements can now renew their passports online at their convenience and from the comfort of their own home.<\/li>\n<li>Visit the <span style=\"color: #cba860;\"><a style=\"color: #cba860;\" href=\"https:\/\/travel.state.gov\/content\/travel\/en\/passports\/have-passport\/renew-online.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Travel.State.Gov<\/strong><\/a><\/span> website to view the full list of requirements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Renewal Passport Applicants By Mail (Form DS-82):<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicant may qualify to use this form only if:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The issue date of the last passport was less than 15 years ago<\/li>\n<li>Applicant was 16 or older when it was issued<\/li>\n<li>Applicant\u2019s name is the same, or you name-change documentation (marriage certificate court order) may be submitted<\/li>\n<li>This passport can be submitted and it is undamaged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If all of the above apply, visit the<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> <strong><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"https:\/\/travel.state.gov\/content\/travel.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #cba860;\">Travel.State.Gov<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/span> website to download an application and submit by mail.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Routine Services are 4-6 weeks from submission date.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Expedited Services are 2-3 weeks from submission date ($60 fee)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][\/vc_accordion][\/vc_column][vc_column][\/vc_column][vc_column][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Butts County Superior Court Clerk&#8217;s Office is now accepting Passport Applications by appointment.
